The laptop’s underbelly is mostly made of polycarbonate in a similar Space Gray finish as the top lid, with ventilation grilles scattered down its length. A pair of downward-firing stereo speakers are located on the left and right midway along with the chassis.

The speakers were serviceable, if not particularly impressive, in actual use, and weren’t particularly loud due to the downward-firing design of the speakers, which means that they perform best on a flat surface.
